There are two books tied in one volume. The first book lacks the first page, but the date is on the last index page at the end of the volume. Leather spine, some pages have big water stains but they don’t affect the reading, ink notations and drawings on the edge of the text, some worm wholes that doesn’t harm the text, but everything else is well preserved for its sizes and age. The second book is complete, better looking and has no major stains, except for the time pattern. The pages are very numerous, 1018 + 558 + 56, and they are very thin. COVA is written over one side of the volume and some other ink hand-written text on some pages.
The author lived until 1577. This is the oldest copy I know, maybe the first edition.
